The Circuit of the Americas' observation tower has been nominated for a design award

The Circuit of the Americas’ iconic Observation Tower has been shortlisted as one of fifty designs in the annual American-Architects ‘Building of the Year’ award.

The 251-foot tall structure, designed by Miró Rivera Architects is positioned on the inside of Turn 17 at the Austin venue.

Capable of holding up to 75 people at once, its viewing platform offers spectators stunning panoramic views of the Hermann Tilke-designed circuit, earning it huge acclaim among racegoers at its inaugural Grand Prix in November, which was won by Lewis Hamilton.

Voting is open to the public until 28 January, and you can cast your vote for the design by clicking here.
