Sebastian Vettel has celebrated breaking Nigel Mansell’s 1992 qualifying record with a great homage to the former World Champion after the German claimed his fifteenth pole position of the season, an all-time record for the sport.

Sebastian Vettel has notched up another career record, this time by breaking a record few thought would have been beaten: Nigel Mansell’s 1992 record of fourteen pole positions in a single season. The newly-crowned champion shares the front row at São Paulo with Red Bull Racing team-mate Mark Webber.
D’Ambrosio slapped with speeding fine
On what it strongly rumoured to be his final race for Virgin Racing, Jérôme d’Ambrosio has been hit with a fine by the FIA Stewards after he was to found to have been speeding in the pit lane during the final practice session of the Brazilian Grand Prix.
More shuffling between teams
There have been a couple of noteworthy movements between the teams’ technical departments in recent days, with McLaren losing two key staff members to outfits further down the grid.

Brazilian GP: Vettel fastest in final practice
Sebastian Vettel has thrown down the gauntlet to claim a record-breaking fifteenth pole position of the season after going fastest in the final free practice session at the Brazilian Grand Prix. But qualifying will be a close-run affair, with the German only just edging out team-mate Mark Webber and the two McLarens, who were all covered by less than two-tenths of a second.
