Maybe it’s because he’s getting older…
Or maybe it’s “because he’s worth it”?
Has anyone else noticed that Fernando Alonso’s hair is considerably darker than just a week before? Maybe he’s worried about going a little grey now that he’s in his thirties…
Either way – assuming he’s not just an ambassador for L’OREAL - that’s a very impressive mane of hair on his head!

Hungarian GP: Hamilton continues Friday form in FP2
Lewis Hamilton has continued to enjoy some excellent pace at the Hungaroring, after finishing quickest in today’s second free practice session for the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Hungarian GP: Hamilton fastest in opening practice
Continuing with his outstanding form from last weekend’s German Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton has again set the pace, this time going quickest in the opening practice session ahead of this weekend’s Hungarian Grand Prix.
The McLaren edged out Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso for top spot, with Mark Webber fourth-fastest, despite ending his session prematurely when he crashed at Turn 9.

The Race of Germany, the eighth event of the 2011 World Touring Car Championship season occurs this weekend at the Oschersleben circuit.
Richard’s F1 previews this weekend’s action and takes a look at some of the talking points leading into this weekend…
Remembering Ayrton: Senninha
Not everyone may know of the late Ayrton Senna’s dedication to help Brazil’s many poverty-stricken citizens – particularly children – but one of many activities the three-time World Champion kickstarted before his sudden death was a cartoon character called ‘Senninha’.
Don’t plan your trip just yet…
It looks as though F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone is set to propose further modifications to the 2012 Formula 1 calendar, which would see the Bahrain and United States races moved to the end of the season, and the Turkish Grand Prix dropped from the calendar entirely.

2011 Hungarian Grand Prix Preview
It’s time to head to Hungary already. The season is rapidly ticking by, but time is running out for Sebastian Vettel’s rivals to mount a serious challenge and give him a run for the Drivers’ Championship.
His main rivals took some points away from him last weekend in Germany with his first finish off the podium all season. Can there be a repeat on the tight confines of a circuit often likened to “Monaco in a paddock”? We’ll have to wait and see.
The Richard’s F1 team takes a look at the action ahead of us this weekend, which will be the last Grand Prix for a month. Here’s hoping it’s a cracking race!
Sauber sticks with current line-up
The Sauber team has today confirmed that it will retain its current driver pairing of Kamui Kobayashi and Sergio Pérez for the 2012 season.
The team also used the announcement to confirm that the team’s 19-year-old reserve driver, Esteban Gutiérrez, would remain on board.
V8s: Seven F1 stars join Gold Coast event
A total of seven – including one current! – Formula 1 drivers will be participating in this year’s running of the V8 Supercars ArmorAll 600 round on the Gold Coast, the unique championship event where the series’ driver are paired with an international-series driver.
The likes of Mika Salo, Jan Magnussen, Sebastien Bourdais and Gianni Morbidelli will all be making their second appearance at the event, while one-time F1 driver Stephane Sarrazin will also be joined by fellow ex-F1 driver Christian Klien as V8 Supercars debutants.
Remembering Ayrton: Throwing away a clean sweep of McLaren wins
The 1988 season broke all sorts of records, not least of which was that McLaren won all bar one of the races that season. The very race it failed to win was the Italian Grand Prix, in which Alain Prost retired early on, and Ayrton Senna crashed out late in the race.
Senna could usually be relied upon to simply frighten backmarkers off the road, but he made a needless lunge on Frenchman Jean-Louis Schlesser – making his sole F1 start standing in for Williams – and clipped the Frenchman before spinning onto the kerbs.
Watch the final laps of the race here, with Murray Walker and James Hunt getting very excited indeed:

Milestones at Budapest this weekend
Two major milestones will be marked at this weekend’s Hungarian Grand Prix: Mercedes GP’s Nico Rosberg will notch up his 100th Grand Prix start, while McLaren’s Jenson Button will mark his 200th Grand Prix, five years on from achieving his maiden F1 win with Honda at this very circuit.
Some news from the driver market…
Despite it being just a week between the German and Hungarian Grands Prix, news seems a little bit slow in the last few days, although some activity is getting underway with team trying to secure their driver line-ups for 2012 and beyond…
